FR2 provides construction planning, constructability advice, project management and technical support on rail and civil infrastructure — from early staging and methodology through to programme development and control, delay analysis and extension of time claims. We work for asset owners, operators, consultants and contractors, and we are usually brought in where access, sequence or time is the governing constraint.
What we do
Planning & Programme
Methodology, staging and the programme that governs delivery — built around access, not fitted to it afterwards.
Constructability & Engineering
Testing a scheme against how it would actually be built, while the design can still change.
Commercial & Claims
Keeping the contemporaneous record clean enough that time and cost are argued from evidence, not recollection.
Digital Engineering
Models, data and tooling that make a programme legible to the people who have to act on it.
Sectors
How we are usually engaged
- Early advice — constructability and staging input while the design can still respond to it, including reports and delivery strategies used to lock possessions and inform cost estimates.
- Programme setup — baseline development, methodology and staging for a package or a whole programme.
- Embedded planning and controls — ongoing programme maintenance, progress capture, forecasting and reporting alongside a delivery team.
- Claims and disputes — delay analysis, extension of time claim development and expert support, argued from the contemporaneous record.

People
FR2 is a small team and the same people carry the work across engagements — there is no hand-off from the people who win the work to the people who do it. Roles, backgrounds and the capability matrix showing who covers what are on Who We Are. Several of the team are Spanish speakers with Chilean engineering backgrounds, which is what makes the Santiago office more than an address.
