Transport for NSW

Transport for NSW (TfNSW) is the NSW Government agency responsible for transport policy, planning and infrastructure delivery across the state — heavy rail, metro, light rail, roads, bus and freight networks.

Background

As principal on most of the NSW rail capital program, TfNSW sets the standards, approvals and access arrangements that any work inside the rail corridor has to satisfy. Projects reach FR2 through TfNSW directly and through its design and delivery partners, so much of FR2’s work is shaped by TfNSW requirements even where the contract sits with a consultant or contractor.
