INSESA
INSESA — Insesa Ingeniería y Servicios S.A. is a Latin American engineering firm, founded in 1988, that designs and manufactures custom special machinery for industry. Its work combines high levels of automation, industrial design optimisation and project management. In 2009 it spun off OXER, which applies that capability to large-scale mining. FR2 works with both, from its Santiago base.
Background
Custom special machinery is a design-and-build discipline: a client brings a process problem, and the answer is a machine that does not exist yet. That makes project management and industrial design optimisation as central as the engineering itself — which is the same reason FR2’s planning and commercial work travels into this sector rather than staying inside rail.
FR2 keeps an office in Chile — Panamericana Norte 18800, Lampa, Santiago — alongside its Australian bases. Access constraints, staging around operations that cannot stop, programme evidence and the commercial consequences of delay are the same problems in any jurisdiction; what changes is the standards, the contract form and the language they are argued in.
Not to be confused with
An unrelated Australian company, INSESA — Industrial Service and Sales, trades under the same name in Queensland. FR2’s client is the Latin American engineering firm described here.

Capabilities and services
Construction planning
Methodology, staging and access strategy built around how the work is actually delivered.
Scheduling
Critical-path baselines, live programme management, progress tracking and forecasting.
Constructability
Reviews and reports that surface buildability risk while the design can still change.
Commercial management
Contract administration, variations and the record-keeping that supports entitlement.
People
FR2 is a small team, and several of its people are Spanish speakers with Chilean engineering backgrounds. The full team — roles, background and the capability matrix showing who covers what — is on Who We Are.
