Parsons Brinckerhoff
Parsons Brinckerhoff was a global engineering and professional services consulting firm. It was acquired by WSP Global in October 2014 and fully rebranded as WSP in May 2017.
Background
Founded in 1885 in New York by William Barclay Parsons, Parsons Brinckerhoff built a transport practice spanning rail, transit, highways, aviation and ports. WSP Global acquired the firm in 2014 for $1.24 billion; it traded as WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff before the Parsons Brinckerhoff name was dropped entirely in 2017. Work FR2 did under the Parsons Brinckerhoff name therefore sits with what is now WSP, and the two entries are kept separate here so the historical record stays accurate.
