NSRU Alliance
The NSRU Alliance is an alliance delivery vehicle for upgrade works on the NSW rail network. FR2 contributed planning and constructability support on Lower Main North Quadruplication Lite, working with Geodata.
Background
An alliance puts the client, designers and contractors into a single commercial arrangement with shared objectives, rather than a chain of separate contracts. For network upgrade work that suits the problem: scope evolves as investigation proceeds, and access to the corridor is the scarce resource that every party has to plan around together. The planning function in that setting serves the alliance as a whole rather than one party’s position.
