SCATL — Sutherland to Cronulla Active Transport Link

The project

The Sutherland to Cronulla Active Transport Link (SCATL) is a walking and cycling route following the Cronulla rail corridor. FR2 produced a constructability technical memo for the project with FutureRail.

An active transport link alongside an operating railway inherits the railway’s constraints: the path sits within or next to the rail corridor, so access for construction is governed by the same protection arrangements and possession windows as track work. A constructability memo at concept stage establishes what can actually be built where, before alignment decisions harden.
